Responsible for applying Text Analytic methods in a broader sense, to business problems. Works with Business Analysts and business SME/users to assess opportunities, review expected outputs. Is responsible to deliver the analytics aspects of projects like developing analytical algorithms, and analytical tools. Has the responsibility for the quality of the offered solutions and manages all Data Science aspects of own projects. Builds solutions that are useful to the end-users, and scalable within the existing software landscape. Job Purpose

Accountabilities
  • Accountable for preparing a Work Scope for a Data Science Service
  • Accountable for executing the Data Science Work Scope
  • Accountable for initiating Final Review of the Data Science Service/Work
  • Accountable for the Closeout, Quality Review and Customer Satisfaction Survey
  • Within the defined scope of the Analytics discipline:
  • Accountable for maintaining Policies and Standards for Information and Data analytics
  • Accountable for execution of Enterprise Improvement Plan for Information and Data analytics
  • The Computational Linguist will report into the Data Science Lead as member of the Data Science team
  • For specific projects the Computational Linguist reports into the assigned Project Manager

Special Challenges:
  • Building constructive and trusting relationships with mostly remote business stakeholders
  • Dealing with challenges in data acquisition from other parts of the business
  • Introducing the new area of text analytics to a number focused company
  • Dealing with a multinational and multilingual work environment

Requirements Skills & Requirements
  • Bachelor or master degree in computer science, psychology or statistics
  • PHD in relevant domain is strongly preferred
  • Total Experience- 8-12 years
  • Experience in data science delivery in a corporate environment is desirable
  • Must have strong technical skills to develop advanced analytics algorithms/models.
  • Skilled in analytics
  • Skilled in data design integrity
  • Skilled in value exploitation
  • Commercial skills are an advantage.
  • Have interpersonal, communication, facilitation and presentation skills

Job Experience Requirements
  • Candidates for the position should have experience in applying text analytical methods to real data. That can also be by having done projects during their studies.
  • Position Requires Business Knowledge Of
  • Hands-on code development (R, Python, MatLab, SAS, relevant software in Text Analytics).
  • Use of advanced analytics technology in the context of application deployment
  • Knowledge of data source extraction (ETL) is desirable (HANA, SQL, Oracle, SharePoint, Hadoop, Spark)
