Development responsibilities: The development work involves analytic model development and application integration. The analytic work includes the: development of decision models, optimization integration, and data consolidation across multiple data sources, which are operationalized into a daily production system. The application development covers software design & architecture, coding, testing, release and go to market programs.
Client projects: Contribute to all phases of the lifecycle: partner with FICO Pre-Sales teams to configure and price the deal, work with FICO Professional Services to deliver the solution; and support the client after go-live. The solution is flexible such that PO is configured for each clients specific requirements. This involves data connection, data processing, modeling, optimizer configuration, and production set-up. The PO team is responsible for client satisfaction and both client and FICO ROI.
Research: The role will provide leadership and innovation to continuously improve the product and to add new decision areas. Partnership with other FICO teams is vital to leverage innovations from relevant, available tools. Examples of future innovations include: expanding PO to cover collector level optimization, settlement optimization, and collection agency treatment optimization. The goal is to build on POs initial foundation to expand the size of its available markets.
The role is both an individual contributor/analytic leader as well as an analytic team manager. A team of 3 analytic developers will report to this role.
The role will collaborate with several functional teams at FICO to leverage the collective technology wealth at FICO. This is meant to accelerate POs development by taking advantage of off-the-shelf tools and analytics that FICO already markets. The internal partners are other software development, sales & pre-sales, professional services team and FICO advisor consulting teams.
What experience/skills will you need?
- Master's degree or Ph.D. in applied mathematics, statistics, operations research, industrial engineering, computer science, or related technical discipline or equivalent professional experience beyond a BS degree.
- 10+ years of experience in optimization solution development, multiple years of field experience in at least one optimization application (FICO Xpress or other optimization engine experience is a plus), solid knowledge in data mining/machine learning, has expertise in one more modeling techniques (e.g. FICO scorecard ), fluent with database technology (SQL, MySQL).
- Experience working with Tableau reports and Java are beneficial. Software development experience and system management knowledge is also desirable.
