The reason why Cloud computing has become so popular and is adopted by most of the businesses today is because of its access. The data stored in the cloud is accessible from everywhere by the authorized users which gives it an advantage over any other traditional methods opted by the businesses. You could understand its vitality by looking at your Gmail account which you can access from anywhere without any tool. Your Google drive saves your important documents and photos without requiring any storage from your phone. This example is relatively smaller in comparison to a business using Cloud computing but it will give you an insight of how businesses operating overseas are managing and running efficiently using cloud and how the economy of businesses rising using these smart business methods.
In this article, I am going to explain you about the cloud services that are provided by the different cloud providers so that it will be easy for you to understand what type of cloud services your company might be using and which services could be accessed by which cloud computing service available in the market.
The three Cloud Services offered by the companies are
SaaS (Software as a Service)
In Saas, software services are provided by cloud providers over the internet. You just need to pay for the software you use and need not to have to manage the infrastructure or update the software. These are managed by cloud providers only. Some of the SaaS your company might be using includes CAD, Customer Relationship Management, Accounting, Human Resource Management etc. It would give you an insight on how SaaS has been adopted by many of the businesses to increase their operational efficiency.
IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service)
In Iaas, infrastructure services like storage, server, networking, operating systems which are required by any organization are offered by the cloud providers. It typically reduces the expense of the company to purchase these things which otherwise had required a lot of capital. This saves cost to the company and allows that money to be used for other beneficial purposes.
PaaS (Platform as a Service)
Paas provides you the platform which you can use to develop web applications for your organization. While developing web apps you need not worry for the entire development process requirements. A Cloud provider providing PaaS will manage all that is desired by you including providing Business Development services, Database Management systems and many more. It reduces much complexities and challenges in developing web applications.
