HYDERABAD: Software Enterprises Association (HYSEA) and International Institute of Information Technology Hyderabad (IIIT-H) on Friday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to promote artificial intelligence and machine learning among the current engineering workforce.

As part of the collaboration, HYSEA will conduct seminars/workshops under the title "TechSeries @ HYSEA" and focus on emerging technologies aimed at engineers and mid-level managers so as to stay abreast with the latest technology and relevant research in collaboration with IIIT-H.

HYSEA is a registered apex body with more than 300 member organizations representing the IT & ITeS industry in Hyderabad.

As technologies like AI and Machine Learning become more main stream and the gap between Research and Industry reduces, it is important that both industry and academia collaborate in meaningful ways, said a joint statement.

Ramesh Loganathan, professor, co-innovation and head, innovation/research outreach, IIIT-H, said," Some of the emerging technologies proposed to be covered as part of the TechSeries include Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), Automation, Internet of Things (IoT), and Advanced Analytics and Data Sciences".

The series will include interactions with academic researchers, technology thought leaders from the Industry and start-ups covering technology.
