Chatbots: Transforming sales and conversions

Mar 12, 2018 | 2778 Views

Artificial intelligence (AI), Machine learning and chatbots are some of the most likeable technologies in the world. These technologies have high potential in transforming every industry, including sales. Chatbots are boon to business firms, in the sense that it helps boost the quality of customer service. Chatbots implemented in apps are a powerful tool to reach out, convert, activate and engage customers.

Machine learning provides chatbots with the ability to create new responses to new input without considering prior programming, simply using previous data. Chatbots are helping companies provide 24/7 customer support for basic inquiries and service requests. The companies today are developing new applications that adds chatbots as a startup strategy. Companies believe that leveraging this technology is a productive customer touchpoint for them.

Chatbots are used by businesses to communicate with the customer inside messaging apps. Chatbots learn to recognize customer requests and provide a relevant answer. Development of chatbots have been such that it has brought such advanced chatbots that use machine learning in order to give an authentic and personalized user experience.

Companies should consider technology from different dimensions before implementing chatbots into business. Every company's major goal is to drive sales and boost revenue whilst also finding and reaching target customers. For example: The growth of apps like Instagram, Facebook Messenger has enabled not only to make communications better, but also sell and communicate their product to target customers.

Companies receive views and recognition with the help of promotions. Implementation of chatbots prompts customers with the suggestions on the basis of user's search. This can result in sales, even if the customer is not fully willing to buy.

The chat bot also reminds a customer from time to time about the product by sending product updates and related promotional offers. These updates and messages reaches customers when it is personalized and directed to them.

When a customer posts comments on products, they are actually providing most important information to businesses. A user voluntarily provides valuable information and data regarding their latest purchases, residential areas, hobbies and preferences. Chatbots then accumulates and analyzes important information and communicates with the customer.

Customers are not willing to fill in surveys and questionnaire by companies. And, a bot gathers feedback by asking relevant questions and thus, relevant feedback is accumulated based on customer's true responses.

A chatbot is a relevant tool for enhancing sales, as it instantly reacts to a problem with an appropriate solution for it. A bot accumulates all relevant data and offers the right product to the customer. Interaction between chatbot and customer is generally done in a way that results in the purchase of the product.

Artificial intelligence has proved to be very helpful to companies. Due to this, the sales tend to improve more with the help of chatbots, as compared to the human representatives. But, we must also remember that chatbots should be designed intelligently and effectively to avoid any failure in companies.
