Microsoft  Research Asia MSRA is in collaborator with Orient Overseas Container Line Limited OOCL to make use of artificial intelligence AI inside the shipping business.

OOCL aspire to optimize its shipping set of connections operations, with the help of deep learning research. The joint venture will see both corporations jointly carry out, delve in and development in the next 18 months, for referring to deep learning and reinforcement knowledge to its operations. Through a 15 month prior engagement with MSRA, OOCL estimates savings around US10 million dollars in operating costs annually.
