We are in the era of digital transformation where people are scared about losing their job because of robots and artificial intelligence. With increasing applications of machines, robots and AI, people are estimating that various job positions are job roles will be eliminated.

Many experts say that in near future we will see displacement of millions of jobs due to advancement and development in AI.

Automation in manufacturing process happening since 1960s and robots are eating our job since then. Then why it becomes worry for todays. In 20th century, robotics has implemented in automobile industry to build cars and as machines in various other industries. But in 21st century, the applicability extended as supermarket self-checkouts, automated guided warehouses vehicles etc.

These robots can work more efficient manner than a human can for redundant works. Robots can act but they can't think, human workforce still required to instruct them and guide them when robot got stuck in any step.

The next industrial revolution fascinated with low cost of operation using artificial intelligence, high power computer, machines and different user -based software having flexibility and adaptability.

The 4th Industrial revolution will make dramatical shift from centralized to collaborated system in manufacturing industry. Earlier robots were programmed to do specific tasks with rigidity and efficiency in their operation. But in this era, robots can perform multi-task with much human interference and flexible and adaptive in nature. They can operate independently with collaborative effort.

Large scale manufacturer predicts that robots in this will be able to read the environment. Also, they will generate large amount of data while performing their task and interacting with human. These data will help robots to learn and trained themselves.

The 4th Industrial Revolution will make affordable for small and medium sized business to use robots and ease their process. Also, machines can be used to perform multiple jobs.

Still these machines are not much smarter than humans as these machines are designed by humans only. One major application of AI may work as turning point for manufacturing industry that is use of micro chips called Graphical Processing Units. These helps application of deep learning to deal large sets of databases.
The new revolution will help to acquire cost effective and collaborative machines and this will improve the quality of production process. It will help human workforce to achieve a new level of excellence in their job by eliminating redundant tasks. Using robots for repetitive task, human can utilize their time in more creative and strategic thinking.

Machine will not replace humans but they change their work. The repetitive and assembly line jobs will be eaten by robots but they will open new work for humans. We can take example of Germany. German manufactures use 3 times more robots than US companies but they also employ more human workforce comparatively.

This industrial revolution is not creating either or choice regarding human workforce and robots among businessman but it tells that together human and artificial intelligence with their collaborative effort can achieve another level of speed and efficiency to complete their tasks.

Robots are capable to assemble the materials more fast and efficient manner but human workforce can use their logics and expertise in the analysis of large sets of data to take a further step to enhance the organizations productivity.

So, This transformation will eliminate repetitive jobs for human works and open more strategic work to be done.
