There is no denying to the fact that AI has huge effects to our daily life. From personal assistant like Siri, Google Now that are helping you call your mom and dad when you are too lazy to pick up your phone, to helping you remind the birthday you forgot. Cars that don�?¢??t need a driver anymore the smart cars while Google has its self driven car Tesla is working everyday to better its auto pilot driven cars. Yup there goes the job of another valet. AI is predicting searches for you, movies and even shopping for you.

While AI is making the everyday life easy, it has been a topic of debate when it comes to military, all because of the underlying fear of AI possessing a threat to humanity.

The promise of AI to improve the speed and logistics to human decision making is what is driving military to accelerate its research and development. For military artificial intelligence is a tool/ x-factor that will improve application for military and its uses. However , the concern that could limit military to use AI is the safety and reliability factors. This all is important of military around to world to sustain its superiority and reducing cost and risk o the soldiers.

The challenge for many modern militaries when it comes to data is similar to that faced by companies or government in general, there is often too much data and it is hard to process it fast enough. Narrow AI applications to process information offer the potential to speed up the data interpretation process, freeing human labor for higher level tasks. From image recognition to processing applications of AI could help militaries more accurately and quickly interpret information, which lead to better decision making.
Senior military and civilian leader believe the speed of warfare is increasing. Whether you think about it in terms of OODA(observe, orient, decide, act) loop or simply the desire to attack an enemy before they know you , speed can provide an advantage in modern wars. Speed in decision making.
AI could enable a variety of new military concepts of operation on the battlefield, such as the oft discussed "loyal wingman"idea , which posits a human airplane pilot or tank driver who could coordinate a number of uninhabited assets as well. It will be helpful for the wingmen to have algorithms that help them respond in cases.

Though the military are planning for expanded use of AI across their portfolio, many of most transformative applications of AI have yet not been addressed. An area of particular focus is robotics, which can be used in technologies that do not exist in nature like radar, explosives, ballistics and digital telecommunications. The military has utilized partially autonomous and intelligent systems since world war 2 but only now begun to implement machine learning and AI.
